Using AI on client files
What does this change for my firm?
You get a record instead of hope. AI works on a copy, and work goes in only when someone says yes.
Can I see what an AI tool did?
Yes, for supported tools. You see what AI asked for, what changed, what was turned away and what you decided.
Will it keep AI out of a client's folder?
Mark the folder Strict. Supported AI tools are turned away there. Tools it doesn't support aren't covered.
What about ChatGPT or Claude in my browser?
A browser add-on warns before client files or client text are sent to ten AI websites. It's a warning, not a block. Typed text isn't checked.
What if AI mixes up two clients?
Every job belongs to one client. If AI touches two clients, you get an alert.
What if AI breaks something?
Nothing lands until you let it in. You can undo a change later.
What does "this file, this job, this client" mean?
When AI asks, you choose how far your yes goes. Just one file, one job, or every job for that client. You can take it back.
Clients and evidence
A client asked if we use AI on their files. What can I show?
A page for that client for each month, or an evidence pack for any period.
What's in the evidence pack?
What AI did for each client, who said yes, what was stopped, who signed your AI policy, and a check that the record wasn't changed.
Does this make my firm compliant with HIPAA or our contracts?
No tool can promise that. It gives you a record to use in your own answers.
Can someone change the record later?
If someone does, it shows up when the record is checked.
Your team
Can someone else approve while I'm away?
A backup person can stop a job. They can't loosen the rules. No answer means no.
Can I approve from my phone?
Phone approvals are coming. Big steps will need Face ID.
Can every Mac follow the same rules?
Yes. Set the rules once. Each Mac can only get stricter, and you see which ones are up to date.
Privacy and trust
Does your app send my files anywhere?
No. It runs on your Mac. No account and no cloud.
Does it use AI to decide what's allowed?
No. Every check follows a fixed rule and gives the same answer every time.
Does it stop everything?
No. It stops what it can, writes down the rest, and tells you which is which.
Practical
Which AI tools does it work with?
Claude Code and Codex CLI for jobs. Gemini CLI and Copilot CLI are watched too. More are coming.
Do I need to be technical?
No. Everything is in plain words.
Does it work on Windows or iPhone?
Mac only for now. Windows and phone approvals are coming.
What does it cost?
$49 a month or $299 a year for each person, after a 7-day free trial. There is no free version.
